Danielle was born in Kodiak and raised in Old Harbor and is an enrolled member of the Alutiiq Tribe of Old Harbor. Before leaving Old Harbor in 2019, she worked first as an Intern for Old Harbor Native Corporation, as Tribal Youth Program Director for the Alutiiq Tribe of Old Harbor and as Old Harbor’s Postmaster. While Danielle was the Tribal Youth Program Director, she participated in hosting a Carpentry Intensive at Nuniaq Camp on Sitkalidak Island. Youth from around the island attended the camp with the goal of restoring Nuniaq Camp. 

After moving to Kodiak in 2019, Danielle was employed by the Kodiak Area Native Association and Koniag, Inc. She joined KALI’s staff in 2022.

In addition to working and raising her children, Danielle has served on the Old Harbor City Council, the Alutiiq Tribe of Old Harbor Council, and the Heath Services Advisory Committee for the Kodiak Area Native Association. During her time as a tribal council member, Danielle helped to oversee the tribe’s Women’s Program and assisted in hosting multiple events.

Danielle has always been passionate about working with her local Native entities to better the quality of life for her people. Danielle is a hard worker and loves to lend a helping hand.
