Alf Pryor is considered the leading kelp farmer in Alaska. In addition to operating Alaska Ocean Farms and Kodiak Kelp Company, Alf is a passionate educator and has presented at numerous industry and public conferences and at beginning kelp farmer workshops. He is an active innovator in increasing kelp farming efficiencies as demonstrated by his partnerships with government agencies and private industry. He also partners and works with processors on quality control of kelp after harvest and during transport.
